£10,000 up for Grabs - Green Grants is back!
That’s right folks, The Green Insurance Company is delighted to announce the return of the award winning Green Grants initiative 2011, and this time we are doing things a little differently. 
Launched in 2010, the Green Grants initiative offers communities throughout the UK the opportunity to apply for funding to help support local environmental projects. The initiative proved so successful last year that we have now decided to increase our funding amount to a total of £40,000 for the coming awards.
This means that we will now be offering a one off grant of up to £10,000 for a special project which will make a real difference to the environment, with the remaining £30,000 available in grants of up to £2000. The initiative was awarded the title of Business Sustainability Initiative of the Year at the British Insurer Awards 2011 and last year attracted more than 300 applications from environmental community groups across the UK. We hope to help an even greater number of projects this year round as well helping to promote sustainable living in local communities and raise awareness of environmental issues for the eco-conscious consumer.
